I am wondering if there is a bug in the software wrt the Empire Button.

Every time I press the empire button it does not tell me the correct resources on my planets.
I have to select every planet manually first then I press the Empire Button and it shows correctly.

Can this be fixed... or what am I doing wrong?

You're doing it right.

The empire screen updates the resource counts every 8 hours, I think or something like that, hence the need for you to "refresh" the planet stats before viewing the empire screen for accurate resource counts.

Iceknave is correct. Due to the server only updating every 8 hours, the Empire amounts may not always be wholly accurate. A simple way to refresh this is simply to quickly view each of your planets. After viewing each of them, click on Empire again (or refresh the page) and the correct numbers should appear!
