First of all what is Origins Return?

OR is a free online wargame. The principle of a wargame is to attack each other to become the strongest opponent. Of course, nothing forces you to attack other players to advance in the game.

What is a browser game?

Origins Return is an online game browser. Each empire you encounter is headed by another player. The game never stops, even when you quit the game life still goes on in the universe. Your mines produce resources, your buildings and research advance but you can be attacked by other players. The goal is to have the most points and become 1st.

How do I gain points?

On Origins Return, to earn points, you have to use resources. 1000 of any resource invested is worth 1 point. Soldiers produced and purchased also give points.

What do I have to do to get resources?

You can develop your extractors and mines that produce, buy or attack players to steal their resources, or blowing up enemy fleets which then become a Field Of Ruins (FOR) consisted of resources that you can recycle thanks to your recycling devices. You can also purchase resources against credits. There are several styles of game play.

What is an allopass?

An allopass is a code paid for to be able to access various benefits, such as raid mode or the purchase of magnetic locks, energy cells or resources. These allopass are used to finance the servers on which we play.

The different styles of play :

In Origins Return, there are several ways to gain points, each "playing style" gives points. You can choose the style of play you want and change it at any time. The styles of play are just designations of how you use your strategy to win points.

Mining:it is the most simple style, and usually the one used straight from the beginning. "Mining" means producing resources. This strategy is very simple, consisting in gathering all the ressources from all your planets and build more mines or extractors, usually iron mines or gold mines, or even crystal extractors and hydrogen power stations to create more power for the mines . The player, in order to ease the task, will buy large trucks to transport resources from planet to planet. For a better strategy, th e players are often also skilled traders.

This style of play is the best for beginners helping them learn to use the basics of the game in a good way. This strategy doesn't require a lot of presence on the game (the players connects , gathers the daily production of his mines and then invests it in his buildings), but however, the account develops quite slowly.

Raider: the word "Raider" is a term used to describe a player who attacks alot. This style of play is very offensive, rather than settling for your his own personal resource production, he will steal from his opponents. To do this there are two ways: by fleet, or the space portal.
By fleet, you must create ships to be able to loot your enemy's resources. In order to attack by space portal, you will need to create military camps to produce soldiers and large trucks, required for the transport of resources. The raider should also develop his technologies in order to make his fleet more powerful and faster. In general, the raider is also avery good trader because they sell or buy the resources they need (Ex: lack of crystal or too much iron).

This style of play is more complicated to learn, and takes quite alot of time during the day, ranging from 10-20 raids (5-10 minutes) to several thousands of attacks per day (several hours of raids). Having the ships or soldiers requires some knowledge to protect them, or your enemies will easely destroy your fleet and take advantage due to the the field of ruins created. A Raider will develop quicker than a miner, because generally, he will always have more resources.

Trader: this isn'treally a style of play, but rather an addition that would help raiders or miners. A trader, as its name explains, trades. This strategy is based on the exchange of resources. It's quite tricky at first, but with practice it becomes simple. A good trader has negociating skills, because some players don't wish to buy or sell, or if so at prices that won't suit you. A trader will also be able to keep the pacts with the players. In the long run, it is advisable to have several pacts to sell your merchandise as quickly as possible...

Good game to all :)
