It would be great if we had a general RP forum. This would allow people to create histories and backgrounds for them and their empires and other RPs that aren't war based.

I second this notion. I too, thought about it before, but consider that the Player Announcements forum should be the right place for that. As the description goes "In this forum, the players can present themselves, announce their departure, participate in the photo group...", I believe the staff could add a purpose to those forums, instead of cluttering the PA board. Most of those forums are idling as it is.
